Archdiocese of Louisville (Louisville, KY)
The Archdiocese of Louisville is home to 200,000 Catholics (60,000 households) in 121 parishes and missions. Stretching from the state’s northern border with Indiana to its southern border with Tennessee, the Archdiocese of Louisville consists of 24 counties and covers 8,124 square miles in central Kentucky.
Celebrating its bicentennial in 2008, the Archdiocese of Louisville has a rich and proud legacy. Today, the Archdiocese supports more than 50 schools at all levels – educating over 23,000 students. Catholic hospitals, home health centers, and other specialized homes and centers for social services within the Archdiocese serve more than 265,000 people. More than 20,000 are assisted through various family ministries and over 40,000 receive ongoing services through Catholic Charities programs.
In an effort to meet the present and future needs of our parishes as well as specific archdiocesan initiatives, in July 2008, the Archdiocese of Louisville began a Bicentennial Campaign – Building A Future Of Hope. The two and a half year, $66 million capital campaign is designed to achieve the following primary goals:
- Deepen the spiritual life of parishes and parishioners through an enhanced prayer and stewardship formation process.
- Provide financial resources for the capital, endowed, and direct ministry needs of the parishes.
- Generate financial resources to address specific archdiocesan initiatives.
- Provide additional tuition assistance support for families with children in Catholic elementary and high schools.
O’Meara Ferguson is honored to be the consulting firm supporting the Building A Future Of Hope campaign.
