Sharon Mainero, President, Mission Advancement Services


Sharon Mainero has spent her entire career helping organizations build effective development programs. As President and a member of the Management Team, she is responsible for all Institutional Client Service including designing, organizing and overseeing all major gift campaigns, audits and planning, and feasibility studies.

Ms. Mainero has been directly involved with the successes of numerous organizational campaigns in her ten years with O’Meara Ferguson. These projects include a $30 million campaign at Bishop Gorman High School (Las Vegas, Nevada), and a $12 million campaign for Cleveland Central Catholic High School in Cleveland, Ohio which raised funds for endowment, as well as renovation and additions to an inner city school campus. Ms. Mainero directed the $20 million major gifts phase of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis campaign in 2005 and the $32 million major gifts phase of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in 2007. She has also worked extensively on special projects, campaigns and strategic planning initiatives with the Dioceses of Knoxville, Wilmington, Sioux Falls, Las Vegas, Sacramento, Kansas City-St. Joseph, Green Bay, Saginaw and Cheyenne. Additionally, she serves on the Professional Advisory Team to assist the Archdiocese of St. Louis with a Mission Advancement Initiative for Catholic Education.

Ms. Mainero’s distinguished 17-year career represents a wealth of knowledge and experience from previous positions with prestigious organizations such as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Boston University, and the Girl Scouts of America.

Ms. Mainero earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Boston College and has attended Indiana University’s Center of Philanthropy, and The Fund Raising School.
