Mark Filips, Executive Consultant
Mark Filips brings a wealth of expertise O’Meara Ferguson after serving Catholic parishes and schools in the fields of education, stewardship, development, fundraising, and executive recruiting for the past 15 years. Most recently he concluded a $1.4 million campaign to fund a new, Spanish-style church in Arizona. Prior to that, he served the Diocese of Yakima, in Washington State during its $5 million capital campaign to support the education of seminarians and the retirement needs of priests through the Seminary Education Fund and the Priests’ Retirement Fund. Mark is known for his energy, appreciation of the principles of stewardship, knowledge of parish life, motivational coaching skills, and commitment to excellence.
Mark is an active member of Christ the King Parish in Omaha, the Knights of Columbus, the Sierra Club, and the Omaha Young Professionals. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and expertise with local parishes as they undertake pastoral initiatives and capital stewardship campaigns.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and a Master of Divinity degree from the University of St. Mary of the Lake in Chicago. He enjoys travel, art, reading, running, and outdoor activities. His interests in faith, art, history, and culture have taken him to Germany, Italy, France, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia.
