The O’Meara Ferguson logo features a pelican feeding her young
offspring, a symbol of charity that is part of Catholic liturgical
tradition and stewardship. Legend states that the mother pelican – in
times of famine – wounded herself, striking her breast with the beak to
feed her young with her blood and prevent starvation. |
